The wrong approach when receiving SPAM from a SaintMail address
is to rant, rave, and send us your "commentary" or your demands.
That does absolutely nothing but cause us to be less inclined to
assist you. *Remember - We are
just as interested as you in halting the abuse and misuse of any SaintMail
account.
1 - Send a copy of the abusive email to:
abuse@saintmail.net
2 - If the headers have not been forged, try to determine who the Internet
Service Provider is that was used to send the mail and forward them a copy
as well.
3 - NEVER respond to the SPAMMER or the address used as the Reply-To.
NEVER respond to their "offer" for you to send a 'Remove Me' message.
This only confirms for them that your email address is valid and will ensure
that you receive more and more unwanted mail.
4 - Additionally, there are other services available to assist you.
To
report Internet commercial e-mail fraud, send mail to:
fraudinfo@psinet.com
To report
"pyramid scams" and chain letters, send mail to:
pyramid@ftc.gov
(If you've
received a chain letter via snail-mail, you can also send mail to:
rrbroadnax@uspis.gov)
Direct
marketing complaints? Send mail to:
postmaster@the-dms.org
Specific
breeches of Federal Trade Commission regulations, send mail to:
bbroder@ftc.gov
(Use ONLY
if you can cite which FTC regulation has been violated and prove
it. For more information on the FTC, we suggest visiting their site
at: http://www.ftc.gov) |
